I wonder if the tomatoes get high cholesterol from the eggshells and jitters from the coffee grounds!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Goulash! That's another dish I dreaded growing up, but love now!

I loved goulash when I was kid. I still love to eat it. I grew up on casseroles and fruit salads. I have not and will not eat any casseroles with green beans, black olives, or mushrooms due to my natural dislike for the slimy texture of these three.

My memory of goulash was having it either at my babysitter's house back when I was five or six or having it at Grandma's. Have not had it awhile. Since I like to make and eat cassorole dishes, I should make goulash but customize it.

Never really cared for it growing up either but have since made it twice in the past 3 months.

Gonna Try a Taco Pie tonite.

Stopped off and got some lunch today while taking a friend up to bowman and was waited on by a Elderly lady that looked I would say in here late 60's. I wondered prolly through out the whole lunch if she was working because she wanted to or because she had to. If its because she had too, ( I really should have started up a conversation and asked her) it really saddens me that most of the seniors today have to work to make ends meet. They should be kicking back and enjoying the remainder of their lives instead of wondering whether that next meal will be affordable or not.

The biggest problem I can foresee in the upcoming economy from hell situation is they know we can live without oil and gas (well most of us can) but they know we can't live without Food.

Taco Pie sounds good...
And it is sad about the seniors having to work... And the mess with Social Security... Who knows if we'll have money when we retire!

Oh, wow! My mom used to make taco pie when I was a kid (we *are* talking about the same thing, right?). Can't remember what the crust was made of, but it had taco meat, cheese, onions, sour cream, tomatoes...I can't remember what else! It was good, though!
