Anybody who is that smart would not be a janitor.

I've always thought it was the police chief. I mean he's really one of the few people with the intelligence and power to pull it off. Plus, he had a thing for the police.

I'd call that bad logic. Or correlating things where there is no correlation.

Look at MENSA. Members included.. Jimmy Saville.. Asia Carerra, who was a porn actress.. Raven, a professional wrestler.. There's a boxer who was a MENSA member. I mean, you'd think being in MENSA, you wouldn't do things that would kill brain cells.. Or.. Maybe you figure you have enough to spare?

I thought a few years ago when it was announced that someone had figured out who it was.. I was excited.. Then I found out that the organization announcing it was basically the same as TIGHAR who has announced that they have 'solved' the Earhart case about 15 times. In other words.. They were full of crap. They had an interesting theory that.. When placed under the microscope, fell apart.. Or, at the very least, had questions that couldn't be answered.

I don't think there will be a 100% solving.. I think we may get far enough along to reach a consensus as to who it MOST LIKELY was. But a complete smoking gun that says it was person X? I'd say the time has passed. Even with a deathbed confession, which.. There's probably been a couple of them already.

High intellect people are often "retarded at life." My friend had 2 Degrees in Science and a raging drug habit. His wife was the same and crazier than a bag of cats.

You really never know.

I think The Zodiac was one nutter, who gained 2 copycats.

UGH.

I think the copycat idea has some legs.. I can't say you're right or wrong for certain, obviously.. but.. There's certainly logic behind the thought.

At least one being a copycat would plug quite a few holes in many of the theories.

If they have DNA he will be eventually linked to someone as a weird uncle or crazy off the grid cousin. Similar to the Golden State Killer case. Even though he "retired" from his crime spree it was a distant relative that was the key to the case.

If Zodiac is incarcerated on a violent felony then his DNA is already in the system and they just have to tie the case DNA to his profile. My gut feeling: Guy is dead, nothing in over 50 years. Even if the guy was 25 then he is over 75 now and I don't think that type of guy could "stop" unless he got locked up or died.

They have DNA for DB Cooper, or at least, think that MAYBE they do. Hasn't been linked to anyone yet.

Yeah there are theories that they missed DNA on the tie clip or something but not sure its been extracted to make any type of profile
