nah - I tend to agree with this poor slob (a fellow, older poor slob myself) DC, Boston, Philly - pretty ugly compared to even a midwest town like chicago. The military folks are great. large Asian and other international community add a nice visual twist. If you're in the bars looking around all you'll see are the honor society kids, and some aging dbags... Gotta look elsewhere (after all you're not in college anymore) and keep an open mind. running clubs, sports teams, church group, etc. Just beware law enforcement and political gang stalkers are everywhere... repub drty tricks and nasty office women paint targets on folks like us
lol at people who call Admo "thug central." You either have zero idea what you're talking about or need to leave Georgetown a little more often. It has a few people who like to drive around playing loud music on the weekends. That's about it.
Yeah, honestly I don't see why Adams Morgan is called thug central. Granted I'm not there every weekend but the times I do go, we go to a club, have a blast and leave. No problems.
Any time I see some obnoxious dude with a massive sense of entitlement going off on women I always think he's some some fat, ugly, internet tough guy who thinks he's hotter and better than he really is.
If you've moved out of your parents house or college dorm room and you still have posters on your bedroom wall, that's a pretty good explanation right there.
