Jimmy12345678 Thank you for posting the message of " don't take BS on your job".

It's great to know that someone out here is willing to leave if they are being continuously disrespected at their job. Your mindset is rare as this thread shows.

You constantly improve your skills to make yourself more valuable to an employer and look for those employers who are a good fit for YOU. It is not just about the paycheck for you but being able to a good job. I commend you for this.

People are scared and have low self-esteem. They are also afraid of not being able to meet their needs and keep their lifestlyle they are used to. So they say things like " one more to retirement" or " I can't leave this bad job because of my family" or " I can't find anything better". And to you " suck it up and stick with it". The posters in this thread either attacked you or made similar excuses. I would have told off the woman who called you a 14 year old. The nerve....

There are those people who attack because you stand out in your choices. They will not do what you did and try to bring you down instead of congratulating you for respecting yourself.

To the thread posters, you can do what Jimmy12345678 did and leave without another job lined up. YES, you can. You have to get your money together, do side hustles, work part time on the weekends to gather savings and leave your job even you have a family to support or if you are single. Choice to be happy in your one and ONLY life.

Anybody that goes against the grain is bound to be ostracized, wouldn't expect anything less.

I like giving the proverbial "middle finger" to all the naysayers who've told me what I'm doing is a bad idea, etc. by being successful despite not following the crowd and doing things my own way.

Outliers like us are the ones that truly accomplish change. The ones going with the flow are forgotten with time, and if nobody speaks up and acts, nothing will get done,
