Description: First Med is operated by a medical doctor during the week and a physician’s assistant on Saturday and Sunday. This independent clinic is equipped for urgent care and diagnostic services but doesn’t apply casts. First Med is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., (except Wednesday, when they close at 11:30 a.m.), on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Some insurance plans are accepted, along with major credit cards. While this was Gatlinburg’s original walk-in clinic, First Med is technically a family clinic now. Walk-ins are taken, however, on Saturdays and Sundays. While you will need to call for an appointment if you want to come in during the week, same-day appointments are often available.
