The childcare center is no longer making and serving food such as quesadillas and other potentially hazardous open foods. Director of childcare center has expired ServSafe Certificate. The center is operating within its scope of its health permit. The center kitchen does not prep any food such as cutting fruits and vegetables. Milk is no longer served in the childcare center.Reviewed with operator new food regulations and food safety manager course. This center does not intend to be have a food safety manager at this location.

General Comments that relate to this Inspection Director and owner has taken ServSafe course on-line. Please bring ServSafe certificate; verification of a completed 16 hour food safety course; $24.00 and a picture ID to Washoe County Health District located at 1001 E Ninth St.; Bldng. B upstairs in Environmental Health. Please have this done by October 1; 2014. Snack menu schedule consists of non potentially hazardous foods such as graham crackers; nutri grain bars; crackers; trail mix and canned fruit. Center is also making Quesadillas; crackers and cheese; PB & J. This health permit will be changed to a risk category 2 health permit. Please call health inspector when Washoe County Certified Food Protection Manager Certificate has been acquired at 328-2682.Cold holding checked OK.Handsinks properly stocked with liquid soap and sanitary disposeable towels.Please separate employee's personal food from food that is used in the operations of the childcare kitchen. Consider storing all food in a separate bin or container properly labeled "employee food." This will prevent possible cross contamination.All food service equipment is going through proper cleaning and sanitizing steps.

General Comments that relate to this Inspection Elizabeth Myers has passed the ServSafe exam and appears to have completed an approved 16 hour food safety course given by one of our approved instructors. The food you serve does not need a CFPM; except for the ham and cheese sandwiches you serve on Fridays. Discontinue serving these sandwiches until Elizabeth Myers fills out an application and is approved as a CFP (in Washoe County). Washoe; rinse and sanitization of utensils are done properly. Once a Washoe County CFPM is present you can heat up and prepare commercially processed potentially hazardous foods and commercially pasteurized potentially hazardous foods. However; even with a Washoe County CFPM you cannot do the following:1) Cook raw animal product or serve raw animal product.2) Cut melons; cut leafy greens or cut tomatoes.3) Cool down for later service potentially hazardous foods. Temp of refrigerator good at 39 degrees F.
