Description: Established in 1941, this is probably the oldest carriage tour operator in the city and definitely one of the most romantic ways to take in the French Quarter. All those honeymooners can’t be wrong. The half-hour open-air ride in an authentic carriage drawn by a clip-clopping mule, starts at the riverside entrance to Jackson Square, across the street from Cafe du Monde, and winds through the French Quarter at a leisurely pace. Simply walk right up and sit right down. Tip: The charge is per carriage (which can hold up to four people), so the more riders, the less cost per person.
