We drove down from Santa Fe yesterday with the intention of checking out the Balloon Fiesta, but all launches were cancelled because of the high winds. Bummer! If we don't catch it before we have to fly out on Thursday I guess there's always next year. Of course we will probably be living here by then if everything goes as planned.

While the early morning was pretty still, the winds really did pick up a couple of hours later so it was the right call. It is far from unusual for a couple, or even several days of cancelled launches.
