So, the reset worked and it didn’t change at midnight. We even got the thermostat connected to the network again, however it doesn’t seem to be communicating with the app, which still says “Offline”. I even signed out, deleted the app and then download it again from the cloud but it didn’t help. The temperature sensor seemed to be affected by the reset too. Before the reset, it had the current temperature of the room at 73°. However after the reset, it said the temperature of the room was 78°, and the air conditioner ran for a very long time until we finally turn the temperature up enough to make it shut off. But we don’t have to set the alarm for midnight anymore, so thank you for that.

I never refused to try it. Please show me where I said I wouldn't try it. I tried it last week but didn't do it right and then the poster told me what I did wrong, so this time it worked. It wasn't suggested 2 months ago.

The temperature sensor still seems off though since the reset, IDK why. Last night it said the current temp was 74 and it was running non-stop, but I know it was much colder in here than 74 (we always set it at 73 or 72, so 74 should feel fairly warm but it was freezing in here).

My mistake. You quoted someone else two months ago that tried resetting it. You read repeatedly about other people resetting it, so clearly you were aware that it can be reset. Then when the people helping you finally figured out you hadn't even tried it yet it was suggested to you. And you finally tried it! Albeit, reluctantly.

Bottom line; Maybe trust us over some rando Amazon reviews. We've got a pretty smart crew here.

I know, I wouldn’t have asked! The Amazon review was for a Honeywell thermostat. Which I am not dismissing out of hand because of that review, but I do want to find out what the swing differential is set to, I have not been able to find that so far. The Honeywell rep said it doesn’t have one, but that doesn’t make sense to me.
