I have a hard time understanding why a 17 year old boy would be interested in a 45 yr old woman. I mean she's attractive but at 17 are you really fantasizing about 40 something year old women?? That is a big big age difference
As for her I obviously don't get that either. Sick sick.
I guess, he was infatuated with a mature, married woman, a teacher and a wife of a high ranking government employee who was interested in him.
But we don't know the details - how long it was going on, who initiated it, if this was perhaps a bet between the school boys who is going to seduce her, or how long it will take etc...

What makes you think that HE seduced HER? Would you think the younger individual seduced the older individual if it were a 17-year-old girl and a 45-year-old man? I seriously doubt it. Or, perhaps in your view, it's ALWAYS the male that is to blame regardless the situation or age difference.
You seem to be really stretching credulity to believe that the 45-year-old woman was the victim, and the 17-year-old kid was the seducer.

And the 45yo woman was in a position of authority.

It's a flex to brag about "I banged Ms. Taylor" blah blah.
Well, in the state of Nebraska, the age of consent is 16.
Maybe be was OK with that.
What was inappropriate: teacher -student relationship. But I don't believe that he was "abused".
Big outrage when older woman has sex with a young boy, but very few bat an eye when an old man has sex with a young woman.
The press is having a field day because of her husband status.
That's not even close to being in true in sentencing. Women often get a slap on the wrist and a Man perp gets 15 years in prison. She's an aging woman, likely caught up in celeb world, clinging to the hope that she is still attractive so she needs to be accepted by a boy. It's pretty pathetic and it's a felony crime.
It seems 90% of these cases are women perps....for a long time.
I could be wrong, but I think it is happening much more now than ever before.
I do know stats on women committing crime and fighting are a lot more common now and increasing. So there must be something happening in our society that is causing it, but I am not sure what the answer is.
