i had two short 12 miles rides all week. when it wasn't raining, it was trying to rain. tomorrow looks like a clear day for a 20 mile ride on the river trail.
Nothing special today. This morning I rode to the coffee shop for breakfast, then to the grocery store to get supplies for the potluck this afternoon - this was about 3 miles.
Tonight I went to a friend's place for dinner. This was about 3 miles each way. So the tallied up 6 more miles. The route home was quiet residential streets with few street lights, so I got to see how the new light did. Didn't hit any ginormous potholes, so thumbs up!
I consider myself fortunate to live close to an abandoned railway converted to a pedestrian trail outside Washington DC called the Washington and Old Dominion Trail. Total length about 45 miles from Arlington, VA out to Purcellville. I did a round trip from Leesburg to Purcellville this evening, about 21 miles. Getting darker earlier now.

Not today but this weekend: A few miles on the Clark's Creek/Mallard Creek Greenway in Charlotte NC. It's the first time I've ridden it and it was a great day to ride - fall is here.
