Warm November day yesterday, so did a circuit through a bunch of neighboring towns on my backup bike (alas my best bike has developed a creak). 1260 feet of climbing in 21miles; you wouldn't think you could do that in New Jersey, but you can.

Had the day off and got in a pretty good ride. Not sure of the distance but I'm guessing it was about 30 miles. Not too far (even for me), but there was quite a bit of climbing, and I'm still such a weak climber! So needless to say, I'm exhausted.

I rode a new singletrack trail under construction close to my house. The north trail is complete, south trail needs more work. Both trails are scheduled to be opened the same time but they encourage people to ride them to help pack down the trails.

I rode 47 miles this morning to the city of La Verne, CA and back on the rails-to-trail path. I rode through the Claremont 'village' and there was some kind of bazaar going on at a few streets. Lots of people were shopping, walking on the sidewalks and enjoying breakfast at sidewalk cafes. Nice to see. Unusual warm and sunny day for December 1st.

-Cheers.

Haven't been able to post in this thread in a while. Today I explored some logging roads in the hills. Man, am I out of shape!

Me and my Giant Trance X1 are going to ride the Squaw Peak network tomorrow. Climbs and descents, jumps, technical/rock gardens, stairs, roller coasters...that system has it all. With the many hundreds of miles of trails available across multiple networks, the mountain bikers in the Phoenix area are truly spoiled.

Did some climbing today! Discovered I'm still a pathetic climber! It was still fun though.

I definitely didn't exceed this on the way up. On the way down is a different story...
