It's important that Putin fails in Ukraine. If not, he will invade any country that wants to join NATO or the EU.
The US gave Afghan security forces equipment. After the US pulled out, they folded to the Taliban like a Yugo getting crumpled by a Ford F-350. Most of the equipment left behind was hardly bleeding edge technology.

I'm glad my home city gathered one of the biggest peaceful protests supporting Ukraine in recent times, it could've been more but better thousands than zero (the protest passes in front of the Russian church and 'Цар Освободител' - which could trigger russia even more...all good news):
