The area that most consider people consider Upper Marlboro, MD is probably 80-85% black at least.

I know for one the percentage black population is most definitely higher in Upper Marlboro than Bowie or Columbia, but those towns are incorporated better.

In fact I'd be brave enough to go out on a limb and say that i am certain "Greater Upper Marlboro" zip codes 20772, 20773, and 20792 is the largest black community in the state of Maryland outside of Baltimore city.
The DC area appears to have way more black communities than the Baltimore area. Even places like Columbia don't seem that black to me.

I lived in Prince Georges now I live in Baltimore city. For the most part the Baltimore suburbs are 20 to 60% black with the blacker suburbs being Owings Mills Randllstown and Lochearn in the northwest section of the metro and City are the most solidly black.

Baltimore has many more 80% white suburbs then the DC area many more.

Yet, at the metro level, Baltimore has a higher percentage than DC: BlackDemographics.com | Black City Population

Well Baltimore is more of a Black-White metro and less diverse of course, but also these numbers in this thread are for states. DC is not a part of the state, but the heavy Black population between there and PG County are still larger than Bmore and Bmore County.

Prince George's County is about what 850,000-900k about 65% black. I dont think there are any white communities more than 40% without looking.

I used the Census cities and city equivalents. I don't have the slightest idea of how they come up with the geography for the city equivalents, but I'm pretty sure that once there is an actual incorporated place, that is what counts. In the the case of Upper Marlboro, the tiny town of Upper Marlboro is what counts.

As a white person who grew up in 20772 and moved to Baltimore City as an adult, I find it a little amusing that Baltimore City, which is very much a chocolate city, has a more substantial white minority than the place I started out. Go figure!

Prince George's County, MD is 912,000 people and over 64% black. The largest and wealthiest 'suburban' majority black jurisdiction in the United States.

Bmore metro doesn’t extend nearly as far as DCs. No white exurban areas like warren county and no Howard County. Because Baltimores metro land area is small it increases the block percentage on paper.
