It’s bad for me.

I see that census tracts that border the Harris County line are becoming blacker and are at 13%+ black in some cases.

It seems large scale housing projects in or near Montgomery County are popping up left and right. There are many that haven't even been mentioned here.

Just yesterday..

It will be interesting to see what Montgomery County will look like in 5 years.

Unlike West Houston,
on the North side there's hills, trees and big lakes
Makes it much more appealing

True. I always said Houston and the Woodlands/Conroe region have the pros that the other lacks.

Houston - diversity, good food, nightlife

Woodlands/Conroe - good planning, natural beauty

I think this is ultimately the reason that the Woodlands has been morphing into its own anchor. The difference in personalities is finishing the deed.

I would imagine that the economic growth in that direction was the last piece of the puzzle to begin setting them apart.

Do any of you think suburban growth will grow far enough north to either touch or engulf Cleveland or Huntsville?

Cleveland, absolutely.

Huntsville will probably see the suburbs reach there but not completely engulf and surround it. Instead some kind of linear continuous developments going from Conroe to new waverley etc until eventually reaching Huntsville. Walker County may join the MSA but it would be mostly for the southern portions of the county. That’s my take atleast.

guess they didn't see the gas price alert - they surely have to bank on this feeding into folks working in Sugar Land or SW Houston before the beltway - that's 60 miles away
