Developments and updates from all around NC. Let's hope this one goes better than before. This is not a contest. There are other threads for that. Please don't post over and over about the same project. Updates from time to time are ok. There will be more posts from Charlotte and the Triangle because there's more going on in the development department. All are welcome to post though. I'm particularly curious to see what's going on in the Wilmington area.

I'm adding a new wrinkle to this thread. I'm especially interested in new downtown restaurants. As many of you know I love new and unique restaurants. Chains are ok though. As long as they are unique to the state.

I used to check out many of the spots/developments from the old thread. Whenever I'd happen to be in that particular city. Hopefully the info will flow again. To highlight all that's going on in our great state

NC's first Wegmans starts construction, in Raleigh's Midtown area. A lot of "Yankees" should be happy

Nice. As a non-yankee, I love Wegman's. Do they have any plans for more NC locations?

4 total in the Triangle area...1 in Raleigh, 2 in Cary, 1 in Chapel Hill. No plans announced beyond that.

I like the idea of this thread, but to be honest I think it might struggle because it's simply too broad. Look at all the development already happening around NC! Perhaps dedicated development threads for each city would be easier to follow; there are already similar threads for Greensboro and Winston-Salem, so why not start additional ones for Raleigh, Durham, Charlotte, Wilmington, and the like?

There already was an NC Development thread that was pretty active (103 pages) until it got shut down for arguing, or whatever. I'm glad it's back.

They must be buried because I haven't seen them.
