At what age does the immediate uplift of joy kids provide stop?

My oldest has always been difficult in the personality department. Middle school is when it really ramped up.



My other one is super easy, really agreeable. At least I feel like I can reason with her and come to an understanding. Hopefully that helps in the tween/teen years. I definitely have a better bond with her. My oldest has a better bond with dad.

Does this feeling ever stop? I would guess by the time kids are teenagers this immediate uplift of joy they provide is gone? lol...

I think each stage of development comes with joys and challenges, and I mean that sincerely. Assuming parents and kids are normal and average. In other words, if you're a loving and responsible parent...you'll find joy at each stage, I think.
