Ahhhhhhh, gooey butter cake! It is supposed to be delicious. The crust in your picture looks a little too thick. The filling should be creamy smooth and very sweet. Looks as if they put too much powdered sugar on the top. Of course that's ok if you like that much. Outside of St. Louis bakeries, the only store bought brand is Haase bakery that is any good.

Lovely pictures of your group. Still would love to 'come down' and meet with all of you. But between health problems, husband's and mine and fuel prices......!!!???!!! Take care and hope all is well.

Thanks, Voyager! I'm sure I speak for the others as I say how much we'd all love to meet you, too! Someday, perhaps!

I've heard that OGBCake is supposed to be delicious, too, but I'm afraid it simply wasn't...at least, it wasn't to me...or to my dh, either.

On another note, I went to Angeli's Pizza in Ozark last weekend and it was fabulous so we have another pizza place to try when that time comes around again! As a matter of fact, I am looking forward to going back again soon. Anyone interested? It doesn't have to be an official OTFCC so if anyone wants to get together, just let me know! We'll schedule it in a Direct Message.

I've got to get to bed, now. MrG had cataract surgery today and we've got to go back down to Branson tomorrow morning.

Gnite, friends!

Angeli sounds good to me Mrs G. Let me know when you are going again. I will check my schedule and we can work in a "date" for pizza. Maybe even a trip to jazz cafe sometime. I heard it is a fun place to go for java.

Darlynn we are interested in the show as well. Have you picked a date yet. I have been working and have not been able to reply but want to be counted in. My hubby also.

OGBCake was not so good. Too rich for my and way to sugary. I prefer to taste all the ingredients not just the sugar!!!!!

Lake Junkie, we also are interested in the float trip and will be interested later in August. Just too much going on right now. Even the weekend after labor day if it is not too chilly then??!!

Hope to see y'all at the OTFCC next month providing my boss gives me the day off!!

Oh...I must respond to your OGBCake comment...You've said it perfectly and I totally agree!

Darlynn, dear! Me thinks you have things a little mixed up. Starbucks is scheduled for August 13th and you haven't missed a thing! Here's a link to MrsC's post on it: https://www.city-data.com/forum/4351886-post97.html

As for the TAKE IT TO THE LIMIT NIGHT, Saturday is best for us. By the way, what time would we be meeting for the show and about what time is the show over? That might make a difference for some people, depending on their schedule and distance.

I hope you're feeling better and that the "weather" wasn't too heavy.

You can always ask for a doggie bag and do a little MO catfishing the next day Then next step is a real fish fry. Sometimes ya got to make a lemon aide out of a lemon in the words of the late Jimmy Durante (spelling?)
