Fanboys would buy Steve's poop if it was in a shiny white box.

Macophile and proud here ...that was poop? I thought it was chocolate?

I am going to buy one so I can play games with my 2 year old on it while laying outside on the patio or on the bed. Then I can flip over and read a book or the news on it, play some movies. Take it on an airplane or a cruise. For me personally the iPhone sucked because it wasn't big enough, this will do the job just fine though.

This thing is going to sell like crazy, get on board the iPad lol.

It took 74 days for Apple to sell 1 millions iPhones.

By some estimates they could deliver 400,000 iPads this weekend.

I'll wait for the bug-free, enhanced Gen 2 version. It's idiotic to buy this thing right away.

Always wait for Gen 2, the illiterate jump into Gen 1

Do you think that's true from a hardware perspective, or is that more of a software statement. If Apple doesn't get things quite right in this version, are most of those things likely to be worked out in the next software release? I'm sure hardware improvements will always come along (more storage, faster processor, etc.) but that doesn't necessarily mean "Gen 1" had problems.

Just shows there are a lot of small minded people that believe others are impressed with their possessions, when in reality they don't even care.

If it does actually prove to have some desirable function, wait a couple of months when the price is reduced, the memory in increased, or both.

I don't own one of these, and don't have plans to buy one, but I do have to wonder why this generates such an emotional reaction for you. It's just a product. Buy one or not, but why is it necessary to personally demean those who choose to do so?
