MtnSurfer, Cape Disappointment - great place, great beaches. Definitely worth you photography talent. Visit Fort Stevens while you at it. On the Oregon side across Columbia. Nice sand dunes!

Interesting it is a sunrise. Looks like a sunset.

In general, you guys are spoiled there with natural beauty. Just think of all the beautiful places one could enjoy if one didn’t have to work and had all the time for recreation! Bet that whole SAD thing wouldn’t be nearly so widespread.

Working 30+ yrs of night shift enhanced my PNW experience.
Under bright lights all night.
Every "Day" is a day off to be outdoors / participate in natural surroundings.

Sleep is over-rated.

Obligatory pics... (Expensive and time consuming to load and post on 'Pay-per-byte' dial-up)

That's some deep snow, Stealth!! Looking forward to my first spring living in the PNW. Although we've visited during that time before, there were just too many places to hike and visit to see all the wildflowers. Dog Mountain, Rowena Crest and some others near the Gorge were great to experience.

Just as an FYI, you can link to your photos and then embed them here using the photo button next to the link button. Only difference is it uses the 'IMG' tag as opposed to the 'URL' tag.

Yes, lots of parking. I don't know if the meters in this area are in effect after six P.M. The ones on mainstreet are not.

On street parking is metered on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Outside these times it is free to park in designated spaces along the street.
