We had a beautiful winter day today as the snow and ice melted. Here are a few pics from a paddle I took today at a local lake.

Will be there in a few days, just hoping that there isn't a crazy polar vortex type of storm during our visit; regular gray and rain are fine by me!

I enjoyed some beautiful and explosive looking clouds this afternoon while paddling a local lake. It also dumped a good amount of rain toward the end of the paddle.

It was a beautiful day for a hike in the Columbia River Gorge today. A friend and I enjoyed some spring like conditions on the Eagle Creek trail with countless waterfalls flowing and crystal clear blue green water. We had the perfect mix of sun and cloud. We also saw a big rainbow while driving across the Columbia river on the way home and then I saw another in front of our house. All in all it was a perfect winter day in Vancouver.

I enjoyed a beautiful, warm, sunny morning on the lake today. It was definitely the calm before the storm. Hopefully, some of you got outside this week as well and enjoyed the nice weather.

By a miracle of miracles, my phone has been revived from the its near death experience in the extra muddy, water drenching yesterday. Here are a few pics just before its 'almost' demise after my fall into the mud water. The eagle I was taking pictures of was surely laughing as he watched me pull myself out of the mud pit and back onto my board. Overall, it was still worth it.

Thanks, Racer46. Today was amazing spring weather with wildflowers in bloom and green rolling hills. My son and I hiked the Columbia River Gorge near White Salmon. It actually got hot today for the first time all year with ~ 70 degrees, bright sun and no wind. My son didn't wear a hat and got sunburned. But overall it felt great to get the warmup heading up the Gorge.
