General Comments that relate to this Inspection No food activity oberved at time of inspection. No violatoins noted at time of inspection. The childcare kitchen will start operating on September 14; 2015.All food is made in the kitchen of Smithridge Elementary School through Kids Cafe of Washoe County.Cold holding checked OK and within regulations < 41 F. A temperature log is completed for monitoring cold holding units daily. The center observes no bare hand contact with ready to eat foods. The kithcen will cut oranges and other fruits and vegetables.Food safety manager is also director of childcare center. Reviewed with operator required "written food safety plan" for all teaching projects that include food which will incorporate hygiene; temperature; sanitizing; cross contamination and chemical storage requirements. Please create these to coincide with the lesson plans for any cooking activity conducted in the childcare center. These food safety plans shall be available for review by the health authority.

Thank you.No food observed being cooked or prepared at time of inspection.Two door upright refrigerator and freezer checked OK and temped < 40 F. Chemicals stored properly and labeled as required. Food is from Washoe County Main Kitchen and is delivered to Smithridge Elementary School. Headstart Kitchen picks up food in thermal bags and carts food to modular unit. Handsinks properly stocked with liquid soap and sanitary disposeable towels. No leftovers are kept.
