Reviewed exclusion policy with operator and return to work policy. Owner/operator has good working sick policy.

Wooden rafters below bar; bar counter and coffee roaster has been sealed with polyurethane. Wooden rafters/beams are smooth; durable and easily cleanable. Operator stated that a cover is currently being fabricated to fit over hopper of coffee roaster to cover unit when not in use to prevent possible cross contamination. No smoking sign posted at front entrance. Electrical light boxes are located above bar area and additional pendent lighting will be installed. All construction items have been corrected. One Certified Food Protection Manager must be assigned to this permit and is at least a 30 hour full time employee. Owner/operator is CFPM and 2 health permits are located inside facility which is < 5000 square feet. 1 CFPM will be meet the regulatory requirements for both the manufacturing and snackbar permits of Magpie Coffee Roasters.Only coffee beverages will be served at this time. Please contact health inspector if any additions or changes will be made to snackbar menu at 328-2682. This snackbar will be assigned a risk category 2 health permit. OK to operate; OK to issue health permit. A annual inspection will be conducted within 90 days. This inspection will be unnanounced. Please post official health permit and food safety manager certificate on site in a conspicous spot of facility.

The following corrections must be made prior to issuing a "SNACK BAR" permit to serve coffee beverages and prepackaged food:1) A health permit to operate a snackbar.2) The ceiling above the coffee roaster and the food service area (bar area) shall be finished to be smooth and easily cleanable.3) Post a "No-Smoking" sign at front entrance. * A paper towel dispensor has been installed in unisex restroom and hole in ceiling has been covered. Discussed with operator several options for ceiling finishes. FRP; fiberglass reinforced plastic may be used. Surface must be smooth and easily cleanable. Plywood may be installed but must be sealed. Sheetrock must be painted. ** Call for an opening inspection when all items have been corrected at 328-2682.

The following corrections must be made prior to permit approval:1) Install the 3 compartment sink indirectly to a floor drain.2) Install a handsink and stock handsink with at mounted sanitary paper towel dispensor and liquid soap dispensor. Mount the same items in the unisex restroom.3) Install a self closing device at restroom and provide a covered trashcan.4) Acquire proper chemical test kit for the sanitizer being used at 3 compartment sink.5) Seal the concrete countertops to be smooth and easily cleanable. 6) Clean throughout the facility of all construction dust.7) All equipment must be in place at time of opening inspection and operational. This manufacturing permit and food establishment will be roasting coffee beans only. No coffee or beverages will be offered or sold at this location. A Certified Food Protection Manager must be acquired if manufacturing establishment wishes to conduct brewing classes for coffee and this food safety manager shall be at least a 30 hour employee at this location.
