Center provides optional pizza lunch on Fridays only and will be introducing food into its curriculum on a sporadic basis. Two door reach in refrigerator recorded at 38 F. All food stored inside cold holding unit is staff food only. Handsink properly stocked.Chemicals properly stored and labeled. Kitchen has a Certified Food Protection Manager for food teaching activities. A written food safety plan will be required for any cooking activity.Children's lunches are warmed for consumption in microwave ovens in individual classrooms. Food is stirred with plastic disposable cutlery or individual child's silverware. Kitchen is clean and organized.

General Comments that relate to this Inspection No violations observed at time of annual inspection.Refrigerator cold holding at 38 F. Center provides pizza from Dominoes every Friday to center. A certified food protection manager is on site and the pizza is served from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM. All leftovers are discarded. Pizza is delivered at 11:15 AM. Time is being used as a public heatlh control. No potentially hazardous food is stored longer than 4 hours in the temperature range between 40 F - 140 F.** No other foods or snacks are provided by the center to the children. All food is brought in by parents for individual child. All children's lunch bags are stored in classrooms. ** Please contact health inspector with any changes to snack or food menu. Discontinue using sponges in kitchen. Sponges hold water that breed bacteria. Handsink properly stocked and labeled "hand washing only." Chemicals properly stored and labeled.

General Comments that relate to this Inspection This support kitchen services the pre kindergarten and childcare center only and is housed in the main childcare building.Center provides snacks and pizza commercially prepared from an approved source. Center will be conducting food celebrations for parents on holidays that consist of food from an approved source. Flow chart number 2 and 3 given to operator that details what center can do under a risk category 2 health permit for a support kitchen. Center will be conducting food cooking projects with staff and children on occasion and a written food safety plan will be on site for health review. This written food safety plan will detail hygenic practices of cooking activities with employees and staff.Center will be using dishwasher for 3 step cleaning process. A kill step using chlorine sanitizer will be done in a separate container. All food service equipment that is reuseable must go through a wash; rinse and sanitize step. Chlorine makeup shall be monitored daily using chlorine test strips. Check chlorine levels to be between 50-100 ppm. Center may cut fruits and vegetable except for:(1) Melons of any type(2) Leafy greens such as lettuce; spring mix; etc(3) Cut tomatoes. Center has designated handsink at 2 well sink. Cold holding checked OK and thermometers present. Chlorine test strips on site.OK to operate and OK to issue health permit.An unnanounced inspection will be conducted within 90 days.
