Mop sink is located in building A. Floors are cleaned daily and mopped weekly with a mechanical machine. Restrooms are located in building A where a proposed restaurant will be operating. The following comment was noted on opening inspection for 115 E Moana Lane on 12/12/13:Restrooms are locatrd in separate building at physical location site of 115 E Moana Lane. This address has multiple buildings. A Grocery retail store will be opened in future and will require a separate health permit to be applied for at the location 115 E Moana Lane. ***CEASE AND DESIST ALL OPERATIONS IN GROCERY STORE FOR BUILDING A until a health permit to operate a grocery store is submitted and an opening inspection is conducted.Please go to Environmental Health Services located at 1001 E Ninth Street in Reno; building B to acquire a health permit to operate a grocery store. Call health inspector at 328-2682 for an opening inspection. Do not open doors to public until an operating permit is acquired for Building A.

[2] Food protected during storage; preparation; display; service; transportation Observed several boxes of food stored directly on floor. Food product stored on floor. Store all food product at least 6 inches off floor to prevent potential cross contamination.Warehouse has installed 2 walk in units: 1 X 900 sq ft. walk in freezer and 1 X 200 sq ft. walk in cooler. Another 1200 sq. ft walk in cooler is currently being installed. All food warehoused in building located at 115 E Moana building B. This physical property address has two parcels and two buildings. Food is currently being warehoused in both buildings while construction is occurring. Observed concrete floors trenched out and loose dirt and debris in certain areas under construction. Operator must COVER and PROTECT FOOD from construction operations. No food observed stored open. All food is bulk and in boxes. Do cover boxes with plastic to protect from possible cross contamination.
[1] Installed; maintained Condensate lines to walk in cold holding units must drain to a floor sink or to an evaporative pan. Drain lines cannot drain to exterior of buildings to ground. Approximately 2-3 gallons of water of water drains from each unit each day. Reviewed with operator to contact health inspector if any additions or changes will be made to operations of warehouse. Upon opening inspection warehouse was not approved for cold holding PHF foods. Washoe County may require plans to be submitted. Health inspector will follow up with owner operator for necessary construction requirements for both buildings while installation of walk in units and drain lines in Building A are being installed.

Warehouse delivers food in the Reno; Sparks; Carson City and Lake Tahoe area.A Waste Management 5 yard dumpster on site. A recycle vendor picks up cardboard 2-3 weekly. Bonanza Pest Control services both buildings monthly. Health inspector will follow up with operator regarding 2nd permit for Building A grocery store permit. Currently food is being warehoused in both buildings. 1291 East Glendale Avenue in Sparks was a warehouse for owner and he has moved entire operations to this location at 115 E Moana Lane.

General Comments that relate to this Inspection Warehouse will be storing prepackaged foods at Warehouse. It is a wholesale food facility that will be servicing restaurants in Reno/Sparks area. Warehouse is about 16;000 square feet with concrete impervious flooring. Warehouse will not have any refrigerated food items until units will be installed. Please call heatlh inspector for reinspection once warehouse install walk in units. All food will be non-perishable and shelf stable. Adequate lighting observed in warehouse facility. The following items must be corrected by 12/19/13:1) Facility shall mark a 3 foot perimeter around warehouse and store all food 6 inches off ground and 3 feet away from cinderblock walls.2) Hire a pest control operator to service warehouse on a routine basis.3) Replace or repair overhead door so vermin cannot enter warehouse through gap at bottom of door. 4) Readhere or replace missing insulation panels above ceiling. Ceiling is over 20 feet tall. 5) A mop sink will need to be installed at either of the two buildings for use as a utility sink for cleaning and mopping. Restrooms are locatrd in separate building at physical location site of 115 E Moana Lane. This address has multiple buildings. A Grocery retail store will be opened in future and will require a separate health permit to be applied for at the location 115 E Moana Lane. Facility has approved garbage dumpster through Waste Management. This warehouse health permit will be assigned a risk category 1 health permit and will not require a Washoe County Certified Food Protection Manager with wholesale foods that is prepackaged.
