This nice scene is north of Cookeville on Hilham Hwy. Since this was taken they have added a fence which spoils the shot.

Still trying to learn how to make pix show full size.

Just South of Cookeville is Center Hill Lake.. From the over look on Route 56 Smithville Highway..About 20 miles..

It is a very well kept secret! Although somehow just about every TTU student knows how to get there. I've never actually been there. The best I can do is direct you to the USGS site which has the GPS coordinates for the falls:

Cummins Falls USGS Cookeville West Quad, Tennessee, Topographic Map

I'm not sure if it's ok to go to the falls. The state is in the process of making it into a park, but it'll probably be another year or two before it's opened to the public. But it sure is beautiful! Travel & Leisure ranked it as one of the top 10 swimming holes in the country.
