I bought 2 dresses last fall for a wedding and shower. Now my baby is engaged so I'll have to start looking for a mother of the bride dress and her wedding dress.
My clothes last a long time, I usually buy on sale. I live in comfy summer dresses and flip flops half the year. In the colder months I have about 3 pairs of pants and a few tops. I swear my one pair of jeans is going on 12 years old but they are comfy and still in great shape. Not sure how people wear out their clothes. I give mine to a local charity after about 20 years, lol.
Interesting to hear how people are handling their shopping these days.
My only priority is if it fits and is flattering, I'll buy it. I don't look for sales since I hate shopping.
I still have SmartWool socks from 2005. So they were worth the $15 price tag! Wore them all day, every day, back when I was working. We've always had Birkenstocks for house shoes.
I wish I could order stuff online but no way. I need to try it on and feel the texture. Oh well, no deliveries here anyway.
My sister shops exclusively at thrift stores, but it's too depressing an experience for me.
I purchased a pair of warm weather shoes this past winter to replace a pair I had for probably about 20 years (that I had kept replacing the soles on).

I never realized you could totally replace the soles on shoes.

It depends on the type of shoe.
