I’m excited to have even more sidewalk seating surrounding Rittenhouse Square. Hopefully it becomes as much of a mainstay on Rittenhouse as Parc is.

Looks like the George Floyd Beer Garden on Walnut Street is set to reopen tomorrow (4/4) and is scheduled to have Weds-Sunday hours (believe it's 12:00-10:00pm). Here's hoping all the code and safety issues are taken care this being this location's 3rd reinvention.

He's dead to me until he does something about the OG Conti.

Shameful he lets that place just sit there collecting homeless people and garbage.

Retail word on the street...

New Balance is relocating into the former Ulta space (1619 Walnut).

Popular women's clothing brand Reformation is moving into the former Outdoor Voices space.

Aritizia is still a go (slow-go), and Equinox gym is opening a showroom this month.

If only the arson hole would develop, Walnut is really coming back, but that scar holds it back (IMO).

Those are all solid.

I dunno....walked by the arson hole on Saturday and the place is kinda cool. It's obviously not the ultimate greatest solution, but it doesn't totally suck.

The beer garden is a unique temporary use, but 4 years later and no real plans for the site is unfortunate. I view it as a lingering scar on Philadelphia's premiere high street, and a reminder of a terrible day.

But still great to see increased retail momentum.

That's fair.

Yeah, I actually kind of like it too. I know it’s not the optimal use but I think it adds to the mixed use vibrancy in the area (at least in the 6-8 months that it’s open).
