Then you must be about 3 years older than me. Shakespeare's was definitely there when you were there. It was just past the Chi-O fountain, around the corner from the fraternities.

I remember Taco John's at 23rd and Ousdahl (north side of 23rd), but not Don Chilitos. But I think I might know which building it would have been in.

Report: Golden Ox restaurant set to return | Local News - KMBC Home

They plan to bring to Golden Ox back as a steakhouse, but want to emphasize locally sourced meats and vegetables.

The report said the owners want to keep much of the old décor but will have a wood-fired grill in a semi-open kitchen.

Golden Ox closed in 2014 after 65 years.

Well the old witch from the Gold Buffet is still alive, know her well, its a family members family. Always a sold out show when Foster Brooks came to town. Redd Foxx even was there in the early 80's before they closed. If I remember right they had to book Redd for two shows.

Default Peaches record store!/Jose's Mexican restaurant

Peaches record store was awesome! I had totally forgotten about that. On 75th and Metcalf! Wow! People actually remember this.
I need help. There was a Mexican restaurant at 95th and Mission in the 70s/80s called Jose's. Does anyone else remember or know what happened to them?!

Does anyone remember the name of the cheesesteak/loose meat sandwich shop that was next to The Roxy at 75th and Metcalf? It's killing me I can't remember.

Did Chartroose Caboose have a location there at one time? Seems like they used to have a different location before they moved to 106th and Metcalf but I can't remember where.

Does anyone remember the facade/front of building design?? Was it colonial or something with columns? Maybe painted white? I was 5 or 6 yrs old when we visited the KC location once in the 70’s. Remember the treasure chest and souvenir rings all these years!! Can’t find a building pic of the KC location, just interior.
