The only silver lining to this illegal immigrant debacle is that the state is spreading the pain among all of its socioeconomic classes. The wealthy are no longer exempt from the pain.

I'd say zero impact on Lexingtonians. They won't even know they are there. It's not like they are going into their parks and recreation centers.

I assume some kids will enroll in local schools, and drag their precious babies' mean test scores down and divert resources from their "gifted" kids to ESL kids and other "needs'.

The local state rep was just notified that the state has it's eyes on the medium security prison in Norfolk as the next shelter.
They mentioned 450 beds.
