Yeah, it is kind of hard to get the whole picture if you can only read pieces.

His family gave interviews early on in the local media that were suspicious of the wife. Not that she killed anyone, but maybe her shady past had something to do with what happened.

The multiple aliases are odd, as is the abuse toward the husband.

Notice what sets her off - her husband is trying to locate her father? Why does that make her so crazy? Why does he feel the need to find the father despite her wishes? Not much trust and honesty there.

So... who is Rick Baker and what's his interest in the McStays? William Dear published a book after 3 yrs of investigating OJ case, saying his son was the killer.

Maybe the children had to be killed because the killer was known to the family? Very sad...

Kind of like the books about the "real" killer of JonBenet Ramsey...

Your other source is a tabloid newspaper.

Money was transferred out of Joseph McStay’s account by at least two people following his disappearance

Who did this? If they did it to keep up business or home for the McStays this is understandable but if they put it in their own account for their own use this would be a red flag.

Regarding what is said about Summer I think a lot of families have issues and it has obviously nothing to do with their murder. I'm going to read more about this case.

Who is the most likely to benefit from this? It is most likely to do with Joseph McStay's business or someone in the family. This is how most of these cases pan out.

It is incredibly sad what has happened to this family. Why kill the two little boys? This to me appears to be a very personal crime and to do with money. Those little boys were so young. You have to be a real monster to murder such young children.

Take a peek at Baker's blog now. He's pulled the book from Amazon and is offering to refund the money to anyone who purchased it. The strange gets stranger.

If they were lured from the home, and took the kids, it must have been someone they knew. The other scenario was that they were taken by force from the home.

They fact they were taken from the home and killed and the fact that the whole family was killed makes it look like a drug cartel.

The fact the car was left at the border makes it look amateur. A cartel would know the border crossings have a lot of cameras and everyone who legally crosses is recorded so the police knew right away they did not cross the border.

.
It is possible the whole family was targeted because they were in the wrong place. Someone might have come after one of the adults and taken everyone because they were witnesses.

Kill the messenger.

What about the facts? The fact the mother had multiples aliases and wrote abusive emails.

I worked in criminal justice for years and multiples aliases is a major red flag.
