Angel Hernandez was terrible. MLB screwed up in assigning him behind the plate. That’s not why the Giants lost, they were not the better team last night, but the strike zone was so inconsistent and at times it was flat out wrong.

Now, the Giants have to beat Scherzer in Dodger Stadium.

Woo hoo !!!!!

What a nail biting defensive gem !!!!!

This is the first time in 98 years where the Giants have won a post season game 1-0 where the one run was a solo home run.

The last time was in 1923, and the home run was hit by Casey Stengel.

Congrats to Longoria re the home run, and congrats to the Giants .

2-1 NLDS series lead for the Giants .

Has to take Max back to his time in Washington: a solo home run allowed, and an offense that goes to sleep!

That Brandon Crawford snag of Mookie Betts’s line drive in the bottom of the 7th was a defensive gem!

MVP! MVP! MVP!

That's what I was thinking as well.

With regards to the Cleveland Indians with the lowest payroll and basically finishing around 0.500, I wonder how much of that is due to Terry Francona's coaching, trying to do more with less, a lot, lot less!

I think coaching has a lot to do with it. On both ends. Look at the Mets and Yankees. Huge payrolls and not good results. Injuries are also a factor. If key players are out you are coaching with less, even though the payroll says otherwise.

Yeah, it would be.

And that site was my source.

The ones that appear to be off by a million…….I just took off all of the dollars from the hundred thousands slot to single digit pennies, and you rounded up to the next million.
